Last year was scattered full of injuries, sorting my health, and mindful recovery. Very little movement, just patience, observation, and rest. But these days are different.
I wake up every morning with my body feeling primed and ready. A feeling I’ve longed for. Cracking my joints on these freezing early January mornings feels like snapping a glow stick, my body starts to glow and come alive.
The mechanical warm up routine of joint rotations feel is somehow bright and warm. Walks with Ringo are no longer the only activity I was restricting myself to, it’s now a fight with Ringo to say let’s go!
The cold of the winter begs for the warmth of movement. The stillness of working at my desk seems unusually unacceptable, my usual restlessness is replaced with a desire to stretch. Under my daily sun exposure, I stretch and move. The warmth of the sun playing with the warmth of my own.
