Side Effects

My head feels heavy,

Eyes droopy,

Head tilt to the left.

Inhale through one nostril,

Exhale out the same.

There’s a pressure from within,

Pushing through my nose.

My eyes can’t see it

My body feels it.

I sniff constantly,

As I shift around my seat,

Moving side to side.

I go lie on the bed,

And feel the force dissipate.

Across my face,

To the back of my neck. 

The weight is hidden,

But the relief feels real.

I shift to lay on my other side,

The heaviness returns,

But now its on the other side.
